More Progress

The roof is finished! Dad spent last Saturday screwing in all the screws, as Stephen finished the ridge capping on Friday. No photos with all the screws in, but here are some with all the tin and ridge capping on:

We've also got all the E-therm (insulation of foam and foil) up on the framework, and lots more bricks have gone up:

There is a huge pile of batons in the living area of the house. Some have gone on the verandahs to hold the ceilings up, and others I've been cutting into smaller pieces for the soffit bearers, ready to put the eave sheets up. Martin bought some paint today for the eaves, it's a pale green.

Tomorrow might be a day of painting the fibro for the eaves and finishing the soffit bearers, or perhaps we'll put the fibro up before painting. We've not yet decided. There are pros and cons to both ways we think. In any case, the eaves will hopefully be done before Monday, because that's when the scaffolders should be coming to take the scaffolding down.
