
Trusses were just completed this week. Scaffolding went up yesterday so we can put the tin on the roof next week! Here are some pictures:

Getting the trusses up on the frames involved ropes, planks and brute strength! Once they were up, we slid them along with poles (a rake and a few sticks of wood) to get them in place. We helped with a few, but most were done just by Stephen and Josh (builder and labourer).

Getting the trusses up on the frames involved ropes, planks and brute strength! Once they were up, we slid them along with poles (a rake and a few sticks of wood) to get them in place. We helped with a few, but most were done just by Stephen and Josh (builder and labourer).Of course, once they were up there was still a lot of work to do, getting them positioned and upright, batons nailed on, then screwed with baton screws. And they were also attached to the frames to lend stability to the interior walls. None of the internal walls take any weight, that's all taken by the external walls.
